Back To School Events
One of the main reasons we created this non-profit organization in 2011 was to help children and families in Brooklyn's Bedford StuyvesantÂ
neighborhoods who were less fortunate. Our first Back to School Event took place in a tiny front yard of a residential home in 2012. Fortunately, our charity events have grown larger every year; and with continued support from generous partners like you, we are able to give back to a variety of areas through a host of events such as Christmas Toy Drives, Easter Egg Hunts, Coat Drives, Seasonal Walks/Marches for Awareness, Feed the Homeless, Community Engagement and Building, and Adapt a Senior Day. We’ve dedicated a lot of man-hours and invested countless resources to these charitable events, and hope you’ll help us continue this work. Volunteer Opportunities
Wings Up Foundation has many Volunteer Opportunities. Friends, family, Social Clubs, and other charitable organizations have continuously devoted their time to ensure that all our charitable events were successful over the years. Children Clothing/Coat Drives
One of our goals is to ensure that the most vulnerable and at-risk children in the NYC areas have their basic needs taken care of, especially during the cold months. With your generous donations and volunteering efforts, you have helped to make our clothing and coat drives a success, which as a result makes it possible for hundreds of children to be equipped with the proper clothing and outerwear to keep them warm during the winter. Christmas Donations
This year, Wings Up Foundation will be Christmas Gift Giving. You will get a free backpack with every $20 donation for the purchase of a gift (personally from you), which will be given to children and families in NYC family shelters. The Christmas Holiday is a time when children solely rely on receiving gifts from friends and family. Some are not as fortunate as others; therefore, our goal is to dedicate our time and effort to conduct our annual Christmas Toy Drive to ensure that children and families can experience the joy of this holiday. Helping the Homeless
NYC has one of the highest rates in Homelessness. Part of our mission is to assist individuals and families who are struggling or do not have the resources to access food and housing.
Our "Hands with Care" events provide free food (especially during the holidays), clothing, hygiene products, as well as pre-paid cell phones so that they can keep in touch with loves ones. Volunteers like yourself can help us continue this work. See how you can by contacting us below.
Raising Awareness
Wings Up Foundation is a huge supporter of American Cancer Society. We raise funds to donate towards the annual Making Strides Walk to help end breast cancer. With your generous donations and volunteering efforts, you have the capacity to help us during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.
